DEL Ozone Generators
At the heart of every DEL ozone generator is sound, innovative engineering designed to provide maximum sanitation power for its application. In the ozone laundry systems, the corona discharge (CD) ozonators use ceramic tube ozone cells to produce optimum concentrations of ozone for a given level of power consumption. Every system comes standard with effective controls and self-diagnostic monitors, integrated oxygen concentrator, and robust construction.
DEL corona discharge ozone generators are designed as totally integrated systems providing a synergistic approach to laundry purification while giving facility operators a simple, automated, low maintenance system.

Ozone Laundry Technology Applications
DEL’s careful engineering extends to the way the ozonators will operate in real world laundry operations. These systems are designed to integrate with virtually every line of commercial laundry equipment. The implementation plans include matching the ozonators to the washer/extractors and current procedures of the laundry operation.
Typical installations include 2 different approaches to ozone injection, via venturi or diffusion.
Venturi Injection Ozone Systems
For most on-premise laundries, DEL Ozone recommends the venturi injection method. This has several advantages:
- The venturi offgasses less ozone under normal operations.
- Ozone is delivered to the wash wheel more efficiently for better sanitation at a given cost.
- It is less invasive to the washer, reducing the possibility of voiding the warranty.
Venturi injection systems are based on the CD-7 ozonator.
Diffusion Ozone Systems
A second effective type of installation involves injecting the ozone into the cold water line via a diffusion system. The diffusion approach is preferable in laundry operations under certain conditions:
- Water pressure is too low to provide adequate flow through the venturi, which is necessary to dissolve the ozone effectively.
- Fill times are critical to the operation, and the venturi would slow the fill too much.
The diffusion installation uses the CD-2 ozonator.
